His site also makes me glad I never went into Ruby on Rails. I won’t even tell you about that itty bitty little division of our Hugamamundogiganto Company that decided it would hire a consultant to write an app using Ruby on Rails, thinking that once it was written the IT department would host it, BUT NEGLECTED TO NOTICE THAT WE ARE A MICROSOFT SHOP. So shoot me. I work for a Microsoft shop now. And I have a very nice benefits package, thankyouverymuch. Never had that when I was a crackerjack open-source php developer. Sure, I could hang out with the cool kids. But most of the cool kids were still young and pretty enough not to need a doctor very often.
